That’s great. It seems to confirm what I thought I saw on Boxing day with Il Cavaliere ( which didn’t win in case anyone is going to look it up) in the 3.30Weth where the trainers other runner was a 12 yo co top weight that hadn’t run over jumps for about 3 1/2 years.

Has anyone ever thought that trainers might work together to compress the weights?

I dont think many will have the likes of Shotgun willy or a high rated horse to use just to compress in the yard

Will be very hard to work out if they do unless we get to know who their friends are

I've though that since John Joe ran Keen Leader several weeks ago. In that race it looked like he was compressing for his own horse Simply Gifted but it had no credentials whatsoever to be in the race.

That left Horus and Chives both compressed by association and both at good prices.

I can remember that when M Pipe said that he couldn't remember the last time Horus had ran at such a low weight the smile would have knocked you over. John Joe was also grinning like a Cheshire cat. It just clicked that the turd had filled his boots on Pipes horse.

JJ knew his stable wasn't firing on all cylinders so if you can't beat them..........
