Investor,

What the hell has that last post got to do with VDW? If you want to have a pop at Swish put it on the appropriate thread. Better still keep quite unless you have something worth saying.

Did Hugs Dancer have your mystery eliminate?

Without discussing the merits of Investors invective, it does appear that he suffers from a serious synaptic delay.

Hello Investor,
You me and Barney must go out for a drink one day. I'm sure we would all get along absolutely great!!!!LOL Big Grin
Anyway, you've got the wrong end of the stick as usual. Of course there will be people who know more than me, that's the whole idea of my speed fig posts, to try and "meet" like minded people. I said I had never found any (bar one). I have never found one outside the internet, except my best mate, even after years of betting and going in the bookies.
How much study of horses have you ever done?
Have you got hundreds of results on spreadsheets so you can analyze what factors really are of use and which aren't? I don't think so. If you had you would know how important speed figures are. I work hard notinG data and learning all the time. What sort of hard work do you do regarding racing? My guess is JACK!
Cheers

Investor,

I have posted a few times on this thread but stopped a while ago for reasons that should be obvious. I always look in and more often than not I have a good old chuckle to myself when casting my eye over your rambling rubbish. I have, up until now refrained in making any response mainly because it hasn’t been worth it, but secondly to uphold what the proprietor of the board has requested.

However, you can’t go on any longer unchallenged by myself. You are the laughing stock of this board young man. You appear to change your stance more often than any normal man changes his pants. What is rather alarming though is that you seem to be the only person on here that isn’t aware of it.

It’s a shame that when you said a while ago that you were done with the VDW thread, that you didn’t mean it.

I happen to think there are some great posts amongst the rubbish of the kind that you have just posted above, which is a shame. In your defence, your posts are not in isolation. Perhaps you’ve had one to many?

Apologies to Gummy, for posting something completely irrelevant to the nature of this thread.

I must say I think your post rather harsh. Unlike some other contributors, Investor is plainly trying to get to grips with VDW's work, and inevitably in doing so blunders around a bit. But those of us who have made a modicum of progress have all been there and made fools of ourselves from time to time. When I research an issue, usually by referring back to one or other of Guest's posts of a year or so ago, that post is typically in the form of a response to what I can now see is a rather stupid (or, kinder, naive) question or comment, as often as not from me!

Fulham,

My response to Investors post has nothing to do with his understanding/lack of understanding of VDW and how that may be reflected in his posts.

His post above has nothing whatsoever to do with VDW or indeed anything else. What his post is about is winding up Swish. Remember this is from someone who remarks often to people that they should leave the thread alone, in order that healthy, worthwhile exchanges can take place.

My main question would be why on earth does Investor need to get to grips with VDW? Perhaps he can tell us?

Fulham, what`s the matter with you man, can you not see the truth when it`s staring you in the face. Are you so wrapped up in your own piss and importance that that you can`t now distinguish right from wrong.

You talk on this thread about consistency yet on other threads you declare to all and sundry that you wont communicate further unless it`s about VDW. Then you perform a complete U turn and speak up for that dim witted waste of space Investor on a subject unrelated to VDW. Are you so bankrupt for an admirer that investor is worth your time.

Fulham, if the measure of a man is the company he keeps, you`ve been bluffing your way.

    Birds of a feather
    Fulham,
I am delighted if not slightly surprised to see you now defend the democratic and perfectly understandable right to abuse.
I take it that you have not had to click on any little yellow triangles this time, nor have your delicate sensabilities been unduly offended.
I have only one request: if you are now going to publically protect your familiar could you please also teach him to write.

You have my eternal admiration! Never has an example of the blind leading the stupid been so clearly exposed. It says nothing about VDW, but much about the real core of this thread.
If only others were as perceptive!

Thank you for your support.

Fulham,
It is my absolute and honest opinion that your knowledge of racing, and even more so, people is just a slight shade over NIL.
I also suspect strongly that you write on here using different names. You might be Guest, Barney and Investor for all I know.
Of course, for that matter I might be 111, JIB and Chaz, but we know we are not the same person. Do you know that you're not?

I have decided I am quite pleased that Investor decided to attack me, now, cos now we can have a laugh and enjoy ourselves instead of just looking in and being bored stiff (with respect to those who know what they are talking about)

If I press that yellow triangle, can I report that I am not satisfied that Investor and Fulham (or the same person) have gone to bed and therefore are not giving me the enjoyment and laughter I desire?
Gummy wake them/him up now!
I've just discovered that any horse that has 111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111 for its last results has a 40% chance of winning. And any horse that has won over £5000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 in prize money has a 42% chance of winning.
Does that mean that if I find one with both statistics I have an 82% chance of winning? Or do I take an average of the 2 facts and have a horse with a 41% chance of winning?
Would a horse with those type of stats be considered in form or out of form?
I would guess in form, but I aren't sure.
I think there was a similar one in the 1799 Lockinge. It won at 50-1 but it wasn't really a bet because a) it didn't fall into first few in the betting and I don't think it was in form
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers Investor for the enjoyment

Chaz has asked a question above that has intrigued me for some time. He asks of investor, “My main question would be why on earth does Investor need to get to grips with VDW? Perhaps he can tell us?”. It must be a year or more since investor was telling us that he was doubling his bank or more every month. I doubt if VDW ever claimed as much, so like Chaz I wonder why investor would spend so much time on VDW as he is obviously better at picking winners than VDW ever was. Most of the serious contributors to this thread, (by this I mean forgetting the likes of fulham who is not worth considering), struggle to find any more than a couple of bets a week, if even that, most of them at short prices and the strike rate appears to be around 50% so I can see the point of them trying to get to grips with the subject, God knows they need help. But investor? He, if what he says is true, if far superior to all this. Could it be that like myself and a few others on this thread he is slumming, down among the losers looking for a laugh. Maybe investor will answer Chaz with a reasonable explanation but I for one won’t hold my breath.

This thread often just goes round in a big circle. There is a flurry of activity, then the same old members pop up to stir the pot.

Just to set the record straight, and also to my mind expose the true judgement of some posters here, Fulham is neither myself nor Investor.

Fulham knows he has made big strides in being able to see the deeper picture portrayed by VDW and in that respect I am sure he has more success than others I could mention.

If Investor has indeed spotted some of the factors I see as crucial to VDWs methods, then he has done so through hard work and research. He would not have just stumbled upon them.

It's unfortunate that the hecklers can't or won't see these very important factors that are there to be seen, but given the attitude of them I don't really care.
