Balakhiref looks to have been trained for this race, but Sholokov is undoubtedly the class/form horse, and it is just a question of whether he stays.
The way he came back in the Irish Derby suggests that he might.
Barney.
You may be right about the Goodwood form, although Kirovski does give it some respectability.
Dawn Invasion etc., sorry far too cryptic for me.

When looking at the opposition this one has been up against this season in comparison to todays field then he`s certainly got a little less to beat today.

His most recent run after a 2 month lay off carrying 9-10 will certainly have blown the cobwebs away.

Back to his earlier runs, he was trying to give weight away to the likes of Balakheri and Systematic. No such horses in here today with the exception of SALTRIO.

This one is all class and could win today if ready but I believe today is a warm up for Ascot at the end of the month.

Back to DF, I haven`t evaluated the race in full but I feel Barney has spotted a very clever placement by a very capable trainer.

Cheers,

Clear at last, thick or what? you may have a live one here.

Determined.
If you do have a bet, back DF as your main bet with a csf saver S/DF at least you'll be covering your arse; just a thought.

Re Sholokhov.
Dosage theory says he'll stay, Nick Mordin doesn't. In the real world, Ladbrokes are going 9/1 which worries me a lot.

After chasing my tail for a few hours I have decided to give all the other raaces a miss and have today's wedge on TOLDYA 2.45 Gwood, with a rfc with the Balding horse. Class, form, improving, and a good draw.
Good luck to all.
Johnd.

Barney,

I looked at Serieux briefly last night. He is a very interesting horse and the jockey booking really takes the eye. I`ve not looked at the race in depth but he has to be on the shortlist.

With regards the Ascot race he`s entered in. One point worth mentioning is that Mr HIlls has a/n 3yo entered which is a coup waiting to happen. The said horse had 4-5 enteries this weekend but isn`t running ( due to the ground I think ).

Also, `S` is owned by K.Abdulla and he has Demonstrate in the Ascot Race.

Conclusion - I do not expect `S` to be saved for Ascot.

Johnd,

These 5-6 fur`s h`caps were my bread and butter before this season and believe me I had some success.
When looking at the races on offer today you have really chosen the "easiest".
Toldya is certainly in form but have a little look at Johnny Ebeneezer.

Good luck,

i am not being thorough enough this is a race to get some speed into it before the chevely park next month.

it will probably trail blaze and fade inside the final furlong

Hasn`t really done alot from the distance in his last couple of outings however both runs can be excused ?

The Ascot race was too far and in a class too high.

The Ripon race with all that wgt` was a pipeopener.

The other way of looking at the Ripon run is that the horses form is on the downturn.

Which is it ?

The fact that Dettori rides today has to be a positive whereas the first time visor has to be a negative.

There would appear to be conflicting ways of evaluating this one which should result in the decision = no bet.

So I have gone and taken a little of the 14/1.

Maybe its these decisions why I still show a loss in my betting account for this year but what the hell.

*** I have also had a small interest on Dream Magic at 8/1.

SALTRIO must be watched very closely today.

Cheers,

Moon Ballard and Vinnie Roe look to be VDW good things today but I`ll never be comfortable with these sort of prices.

In the Leger I suspect Sholokhov will be the class/form horse for those more experienced than me.

I take Balakheri and Bandari as the c/f horses and I expect them to fight out the finish. I have had Balakheri down as a Leger horse for sometime now and am still hurting at not taking the 10/1 ante post.

I am a fan of Bandari but I have to go with the Stoute horse and the 3/1 has been taken.

At Goodwood the ABC option on Inchdura, M.Force and Serieux is an option but I`ll watch the race.

The ABC senario with Smokin Beau, Red Carpet and P.Affair I believe will result in a profit but again I`ll watch the race.

Cheers,
