what did hatha anna achieve in its class 500 win?

The last race was a downturn for me and he is out of form. Also why is it a bay horse surely everyone knows that. I would have thought that it was one or the other.

in his last race he met nothing of the caliber of todays opposition.

I am sure there will be questions asked if the c/f (storming home) doesn't win this one.

although the time is visually impressive it was eleven lengths off that.

it looks to me that a lot of trainers high hopes and dreams are coming to an end this year for some of their horses.

Some trainers seem to be throwing them about willy nilly looking for that win.

Just look at the opposition he has faced this season and especially his last run at Ascot in the King George.

He had 9-07 on his back that in a Group 1.

Today he faces lesser opposition and has 6 lbs less on his back.

OK, Systematic is on the up but in comparison it is no contest.

To quote Barney, if this one doesn`t win today then "what the hell is going on".

A f/c price of 11/8. Is this one of the bets of the year ?

Cheers,

again you misinterpret what i say,i,m not for one minute suggesting you can,t read form,so stop thinking along them lines.all i said was there,s more to vdw than rouhard, and that in my opinion crosschecks are a neccesity in sorting out the wheat from the chaff,do you know the checks that vdw gave.also i,m well aware of other methods/systems,but this thread is,nt about them,it,s about vdw and nothing else, and for goodness sake don,t take this the wrong way,it must be the way i write but i mean no offence.

My last post sees me go a little overboard with my suggestion that Storming Home is perhaps a bet of the year.

Needless to say that is nonsense although I do expect to see the horse to win.

Cheers,

Two at Doncaster today for me in the shape of Storming Home and Vintage Premium. Both are the class/form horses in their races.

Have a good day all.

A very intresting race. Anybody have a view.

Several in form horses namely Mesmeric, Total Turtle, Kasthari, Praire Falcon, etc.

Both Total Turtle and Kasthari look to have been very cleverly placed, ie - both carry 8 and 9 lbs less than there last runs compared to the majortiy of the opposition who carry more weight today.

Mesmeric who in my opinion put up a career best effort last time has to carry 8 lbs more today over a longer trip against 2 improving 3yo`s.

I`m happy to pass him over and I`m confident both TT and `K` will again be fighting out the finish this afternoon.

Do I make a book ? Now thats the question ?

Good luck today,

*** thanks again Guest for your thoughts on todays events ***

Storming Home is availible at 6/4 and 7/4 with the likes of Corals and Ladbrokes.

I cannot believe they would even bother to price up the race never mind offer such a generous price.

It just doesn`t add up !

Determined,

What price did you expect Storming Home to be priced up at?

I have backed him myself but when analysing the race last night I made 6/4 a 'fair' price and to be honest I wouldn't have been tempted at less.

If a horse is priced up longer than you think it should be then by all means go back and doublecheck your calculations but If you remain convinced that your initial value price was a 'fair' one then I see little point in 'smelling a rat'. Just smile and help yourself to the value smile

Cheers

Storming Home has got the class, but has he got the "balls". Systematic is an improving horse which I reckon to be already Gp3 standard, and if he gets a good pace ( Which looks unlikely ) he will certainly test the resolution of the favourite.

Doesn't anybody fancy Kangarilla Road?
Lto he won a good class C hcap over a similar C/D , showing by far his best form, he is only raised by 3lbs and is taking a big drop in class.

The draw is against Kangarilla Road, if this week's results are anything to go on.

I anticipate a big run from Legal Set today.

*** I`ve decided to leave my money in my pocket as I have that `uneasy feeling`.

That said, I`ll be cheering on Storming Home and Total Turtle - Kastheri.

Cheers,

I`m very sweet on Balakheri in the Leger tomorrow but how will stand up to Bandari from a VDW perspective ?

Systematic certainly franked the Voltigeur form !

Then there`s Vinnie Roe and Moon Ballard. Will the VDW method` be suggesting these 2 are good things ?

And what about the h`caps.

Hopefully the thread can have some discussion this evening and tomorrow morning.

Cheers,

Nice to hear from you on this thread, I didn't bet Kanagarilla because of the draw, but considering the way he was ridden he ran a blinder, one to watch for!
BARNEY
4.10 Don. Robandela has the form to win this on his Goodwood run, but I can'figure out what Mr A.T.was up to on his last run. Any ideas?
