Please tell me you backed Needwood Blade, as for

It's form figs added up to 4.
The favourites form figures added up to 1.
So did I do the wrong thing then?

Swish, of course you did the wrong thing. In a situation like Wimples race you should have exercised TEMPREMENT and not have bet.

    Flat Earth Society
But then again there are students of this subject who imagine that the horses turn up at the course, and get divided into lots to race against each other, like boys playing football on a village green.

Dear JIB,
You have slipped up badly there.
You have spelt TEMPERAMENT incorrectly.
Any way I have been through the race again, and I have suddenly realised that not only do the form figures add up wrong, but my horse had never won a race, so therefore there was no winning prize money involved, in its past races.

Coupled with that I missed the 7-2 and only got 3-1.

Blimey,
I don't know why I bother!!!!!!

of course I did he was the best horse in the race and in form.

look at his penultimate performance non of the others could hold a light to that.

I am still quite new to this and am finding it very hard to lump on at those prices but I am getting the hang of it fast.

Swish,

well done with wimple he was a good thing as was persian punch.

I dont think it was a classic roushayd though as that method was for following 3 and 4 year olds although as you have shown it can be applied in other areas.

2/11 second time out mmmmmmmmmm.. that mr britain likes a bet.

PS SORRY ABOUT THE DUPLICATE POST AGAIN

MY MACHINE IS PLAYING UP AND I HAVE LOST THE ABILITY TO DELETE !!!!

Swish - Whoever said it mattered who had the lowest consistency figure of the 3 probables ? I don't know why you keep trying to put the consistency part down. Over 50% of the races VDW indicated for use go to one of the 3 most consistent figures, not THE most consistent. Your info reads wrong also. The 3 most consistent in the fillies race at Salisbury were from the top of the card, Khulood 3 , Secret Pride 4 and Wimple 7. Top on ability rating was Khulood 81 with Wimple 2nd 47 and Secret Pride 37. But as it was a 2yo race with largely unexposed horses a further measurement is required as repeated so many times recently (so why is it misunderstood?). VDW suggested unadjusted speed figures for this purpose to be used as a further guide and in this case top was Wimple 75 the Katdogawn 64 then Ribbons & Bows 56. Secret Pride had 53 and Khulood 0.

So when you study the class and form you should see that Khulood beaten nothing of note IN CONTEXT of yesterdays race where as Wimple had been up against much better class in both her last races and yes it was a classic case of improvement in higher class and then dropped to collect. The Newbury run was strong enough alone.

I think it's a little premature to presume on what Swish may or may not have done. This is, after all, the forum on which traditionally cards are played most close to the chest.
