Winners or chancers.

Thought people wanted winners.

What they in fact seem to want - is magic.

During 2005, I have had just 3 bets. This won't suit everyone. But it suits me. And I post to suit me - not you.

Be lucky!

I put up Wild Passion as a "Dutch" with Marcel

-
Still Correct in my view -

and still a "Win"

-
One way - I bet as a "Dutch" with Tickram -quite happy with that, gain based on SFigs !!

3.45 - Three way Dutch was - Indalo , Carryonharry , and Boys Hurrah - again Speed figs !!

Commom factor is -last 2 placings !!

However ---

3.10 has"nothing in common !!! --

Here you have a Trainer who has "Manipilated" the race to "Give him a Winner" - !!!!

Are you not the same TC who just posted:

"What the Hell is the point of posting up the likes of One way and Marcel ???"

Your 'Marcel dutch' was shorter priced than my 'Marcel dutch'! Razz

My style of betting is at the shorter end. But I am making it pay - without the stress of long losing runs. I like it that way.

* * *

As I have said in the past, the trainers aspect was something I wanted to develop when time allowed. JIB and Ectoo both seem to have good insight here. Me? I (sadly) have no idea! Roll Eyes

I wouldn't take my comments about VDW selections as a personal slight, BC.

I hadn't even seen your postings till tonight, when I came on to say how bad my selections fared.

Frankly. I didn't think Oneway was in the "VDW race of the day" and had no idea you'd tipped it someplace earlier. Admittedly, I didn't look around here much this morning, as I hadn't much time before Lingfield.

Perhaps you can help me by explaining Monte Cinto's poor performance?

Jump racing is not a subject that I'm au fait with nowadays. Glad I wasn't tempted to bet in that top race of the day.
I did badly enough at Lingfield!

As to the caravanners and five star hotels, I'm not party to the joke, and don't get it at all. Rather like VDW methodology, I suppose.

BC,

Well done!

However you have uncovered another old rankle with VDW selections that are shorties tipped up by everyone.

The blurb on the wrapping claims the method is so original that it comes up with winners that other common or garden methods miss.

Whilst having 3 bets a week is fine by me, how are you going to feel when you get 3 or 4 losers in a run?

One of the definitive moments on this forum was when 'Guest', a member who was/is held by VDWers in the same light that Ismaili muslims hold the Aga Khan, decided to 'prove' the method. He had to endure an amazingly painful string of losing shorties, the impact of which was so embarrassing to vdwers that they upped and founded their own exclusive forum.

Investor has let slip that he retrieves, what we dont know is if he does this from greed or necessity or an amalgam of the two. If necessity comes into the equation at any stage or quantity then the orange light is 'on'.

I have experienced both - and am not immpressed by either !!

My "Tilda" - gets "laid down" - where I choose -

but - 5 Star Hotels - just - Irratate - me these days.

Hi Seanrua

As you can tell, TC had annoyed me tonight... and your post fitted in perfectly with what he'd said - so wrong place at the wrong time syndrome I'm afraid. My sincere apologies.

Red Face (embarrassed)

Can't help with Monte Cinto. Got to the 3.10 and couldn't face going through 23 runners. Cold in the head affecting the motivation. What I did notice was that Copeland, (a horse I have won £££ with in a past life), had an AR of 286. Nearly double MC's. But that was no real reason. Just couldn't do 23 of the buggers today!

Cheers

BlackCat Smile

Hi JIB

Thanks.

3 or 4 I can handle. But I have been on long losing runs - bust the bank losing runs - in the past. I can't (won't) go through that again. If I get a string that knocks me out this time, then I really am OUT!

The thing is - at the moment at least - it is making me a profit. The first thing in my 'horse-racing selection career' that I have done consistently that has made ME a profit. So, whist I have sympathy for people who have looked at it and can't make it work for them, I must continue with it for me.

The Gummy forum as a whole is excellent. But I am stuggling with the continuing negativity of this VDW forum.

Cheers for now - see you in other "rooms" hopefully.

BlackCat

Hi BC,

I'm the one who should be embarrassed: by selections that came 6th and 10th! - but I'm not.

I'm only here to learn. You're light years ahead of me in that respect.

Hi Tc,

Lots of dinkum Aussies use campervans and it's quite a useful way to go.

I used to kip on the side of the road till
1) a guy got run over by a roadtrain as he slept,

2) I got so many mosquito bites that wouldn't heal up in that tropical air, so that I said no more, unless we have a proper Abo fire smoking away all night.

The third point is where I ought to be taking offence - but I'm not!
Fact is, I'm tied in with the travelling peoples and I lived in trailers for years and years.
When I worked on big contracts, we often stayed in cabins or caravans on the work-site.
So no stranger to the old caravan, but I think I know who you're getting at: those camping club dudes who've got the best of the latest, and resent any creature that crawls out of a bivouac to go use the ablutions.

Anyway, why the fk are we talking about any of this? It makes no odds in the long run!
My fkin oath, matey!
