I am going to Aftertime - "Oneway" - and tell you - quite simply that - the horse was rated 156 by Topspeed lto , and that it was well clear of the rest of the field. !!!

In addition - on Gummies "Top 10 Selections -

It was "Number 1" !!!

It was also "Adrian Masseys" Top Rated ! and Was also his "Max" rated !!!

I knew it would be too much for you to say "well done".

I posted before the off. As I have (almost) always done with my selections. (Actually - I don't happen to have noticed your selections for the races - here - or elsewhere for that matter. No doubt you'll point me in the right direction).

I had put Oneway up here as a VDW style selection, as with Marcel/Astronomic.

Yes, Oneway was favourite and top of the raters lists too. Many examples given by VDW were favourites too... and top rated. So, your point is???

I will not post selections on this forum again.

No, I am not a caravanner. I enjoy 5 star hotel service far too much to join you on a campsite.

Perhaps it doesn't work in top-class racing with big fields, but does in races worth less than a quarter prizemoney, with fewer runners, and a clear top-rated short-priced fav.

That is EXACTLY what I said on the "It's all a plot" thread. It isn't magic. Quite agree.

But I can see how VDWers are in a no win position on this forum.

If they post a selection and it wins - the horse is a favourite, top rated, small field, anyone could have put that up, etc..

If it loses, then the method must be rubbish.

The point is that Oneway was put up as a VDW selection. The thing you clamour to see (supposedly).

How many short priced top rated favourites fail to win? Lots and lots. Otherwise we would all just back them, wouldn't we? But specifically, Oneway was put up among all the other races today, many of which also had top rated short priced favourites.

Yes, I've taken the huff. I chose to put this horse up here. Didn't have to. But I put it up here as a VDW selection. (I also put it on my ISP thread on RSUK too).

But I can see that this is how it will be on this forum for me now I have stated that I am using the Van der Wheil method. It is the way of things on here. So no, I won't play 'defend VDW's honour'. If it works, I'll use it. If it doesn't, I'll ditch it. The only reason I like to make pre-race selections in public is to prove to myself that it works.

And it works (seems to so far anyway) ... if you can develop temperament. And THAT is harder than learning the method.
