it's time to you use judgement based on your own evaluations,The last few weeks have shown that there is a lot more to vdw than meets the eye, sometimes selections jump out at you other times they take a lot of weeding out,I was personally surprised at Guests selections today but he has obviously done years of research and today was just a bad day at the office

I think no one could argue that there was huge bad luck with Ballyconnell, who clearly had his rivals well beaten coming to the last. A reminder of the intrinsic element of chance in racing, and the impossibility of achieving a perfect strike rate however careful one is.

Investor,

I can pick lots of my own all ready. Most important to me though, whether I agreed with them being bets or not, was that I could see why they were all selected even saffrah over little amin. My "I hate darryl holland" filter saved me from a few and weight, weight, weight.

Interesting that the winner ashkelon came from class 92 the second from class 86 the third and fourth class 78 and 74 and the distances apart seems to reflect this.

but some at 6/1 and 7/1 I cant leave.

Fulham,

he had jumped so well making up ground at every jump up to that one.

Barney, I`m feeling insecure, I need you to say something nice to me, but please stop talking to Investor, he can`t spell !

While I`m at it , do you think just now and then you could press the Capital function key, you know like that nasty man Guest does.

Barney.

I have to ask, do you use the same method as Guest to find the c/form horse? I ask because it took you under an hour to find it for Nomadic Way (Cesarewitch) October 15th 88. I don't use the same ability rating as you, but to go through the form book, or the Racing Post site. To do a full analyses on a 24 runner field. and come back and say he was a good c/form horse is very good. Baronet won the 78 Cambridgeshire, do you make him the c/form horse?

I don't agree with your filter on Holland, I can't he rode the only horse I have backed so far this week (9/1 winner) I do agree with your second filter, but I think you have spelt it wrong. It should be WAIT, WAIT, WAIT.

Fulham,

I use a different ability rating to you, but I think Kazzia at York should fit the bill. If I'm wrong I apologise.

Be Lucky

I dont know if its the same as Guest's as I have not discussed it with him. A while ago Lee (where is he now I wonder ?) said that I applied it in the same way as himself and how he thought Guest applied it. You will have to ask him.

One thing I thought though a while back, the prices that VDW got for the easy good things will never be like that ever again.

nomadic way is absolutely obvious even from the initial numerical picture.

Baronet looks to be a bit unexposed and would need more work but it will be.

I like your opening line.(or reading between the lines)

"Barney, I have to ask you , do you use the same method as me to scramble up Guests backside"

Stick your lettuce leaves.

Temperament; one of you had to post.

I too can see why they were selected,But on occasions there seems to be one or two things that don't add up.at the end of the day what we are all looking for is the winner in the race, and i just feel that some selections of late have lacked that final touch,It's now quite obvious that to achieve 80%+ one has to wait for sitters has statajack called them,A good strike rate can still be maintained,But you need to learn an awful lot about the methods to achieve this.Would you honestly have looked or more to the point backed the horses named by guest today if he hadn't put them on the thread?
