I have always said - this totaly F**CKS up the "ABILITY" Rating idea -

VDW did say that this had to be "Correctly" applied and - I maintain that - you can't cross the "Divide" between the two !!

Take a look at the result of the 1.40 at Ludlow.

The 4/6 favourite carrying 11.10 for the first time. Over the last and drawing clear, but then weakened, and caught on the line by a horse due to carry 10.12, but whose jockey had a 10lb allowance.

Which is an unusually perceptive comment from Tony Peach, and suggests a deal of confidence not apparent in the majority of his comments on the method?
