Ok I accept that I got it wrong on the race class issue, and after looking through the thread again I was too sore on Fulham-are you reading Prof-I APOLOGISE for growling at you it was over the top-one too many beers perhaps.
Mtoto,guest,Barney
I am not an agressive man by nature but sometimes Fulham does act like the eager Professor who goes ott with stats and facts to point out flaws in a posters opinion(usually after the event).I have all the VDW lit in the loft along with 10 years of Tax,Vat,Employment law, Health and Safety requirements, employeee attendance records ect and after reading them put them away after making notes in a booklet of the main points and nuances and have no desire or wishes to look for them again, raking through all that shite.I cannot comment on page * & paragraph *.

Look everyone could we all please lighten up a bit.
I do understand that VDW can be a bit of a deep subject but I will not tolerate personal remarks I bet that if most of you were face to face in person that you would not post or say some of the things that you do.
If necessary I will start my spare UBB.X forum just for VDW enthusiasts who can discuss the subject in peace without personal harrassment.

Great idea Gummy, if that keeps arseholes like barney in his kennel where he belongs. Have you looked at his latest contribution on JIB's Sires thread. If that is not personal I do not know what is

    Jimmy,
He seems to be finding life as a pro rather stressful and it looks as if he's not going to hack it.
I dont envy anyone who needs to make money from gambling, I know you do and you have my overwhelming admiration for it.
If his recent outbursts are the symptoms of what I fear is an agravating malady our coleague seems to be heading for the ugly side of this game. Maybe someone could send him an address where he can get advice about how to deal with the dangers.

The truth is John, I don’t have to make money gambling anymore. I did in the past but I have since diversified my interests such that if I never had another bet I could get by. I think the main problem is that some people, who shall remain nameless, would like to make a living from it but can’t, so they tell everyone they are punting huge sums and making a fortune. What they don’t realise is that anyone who does make money gambling would never dream of ridiculing someone for the level of their stakes. You would never hear Soros ridiculing someone for putting £50 a week into a pension fund would you?

No you dont. And I expressed myself poorly when refering to your betting, I meant to imply that you only needed to make a profit to satisfy the work you put in rather than any financial necessity. From your posts you have obviously had a successful career that has taken you around the world, and that now being of a certain age and situation you enjoy the liberty to do as you feel fit.
I dont bet large amounts anymore as it doesnt fit in with my reality here. At the momment I am building a third block of two apartments to two existing blocks I have rented out on the same plot of land. Each kitchinette has a 35 sq.mts of internal space that is finished in ceramic tiles and jungle hardwood and in my humb. op. are absolutely lovely. The two kitchenette appartment costs me £6k to build and each unit will be rented out at £80 a month. How on earth could I look my family in the face if I had just put 1% of an appartment block on a losing horse?
Out here there is no weekly giro, you stand on your own feet and take the full consequences of your actions, life here is v unforgiving and someone like our friend I employ on the farm or on building work for £2 a day!

FULHAM,

Good morning to you. I understand BT has offered his apologies to you and rightly so. I hope that will allow you to continue posting and educate the likes of me who VALUE your comments, etc.

Hope you had a good day yesterday. Despite what I put on the tipping line thread I didn`t play at all yesterday.

Judging by Guest`s class/form horses over the past 2 days it only only confirm to the doubters that this methodolodgy is worth all the hard work.

I wonder what Royal Ascot will bring ????

Dr Fulham,

Was it BT`s reference to Victor Meldrew that upset you?

Fulham by refusing to post the boxing day ability ratings has degraded the entire board to previously unplumbed depths of bullshit, I hope he never posts again, the guys ramblings are as stimulating as a nasal quat.

No wonder most can not get to grips with VDW when they cant even except help and advice in the spirit it has been given.

Epi if you look at Fulhams reply to boozer, another one who was ungrateful, he has told you how to go about finding the answers for yourself.

So many clues have been given but as is the case most are too thick to interpret them.. or too lazy. Why should the whole lot be handed out on a plate? If you read between the lines of Guest's and Fulham's posts a LOT has been. Why they should be bothered is beyond me. Why waste perfectly good time on some on here begs belief.

Whats that saying? If you give a man a fish you feed him for a day but if you teach him how to fish he will be able to feed HIMSELF for a lifetime..... it looks like a lot of people on here are going to starve.

Very interesting post. Why should it be handed on a plate? The ability ratings? are you serious? You're the guy who came here with nothing to give and having received enough for free decided you should pay something back, by your own admission you are the architypical mean hearted parasite so use that sanctimonious bullshit with your mirror. And your pennies in the hat? A regurgitated system with so many conditions that qualifiers come once a month and take longer to look for than serious form reading.

Epi,

Ouch you hurt me with your words Big Grin

For one that system I put up on another thread is just that a system, and if it takes you that long to follow a few simple rules then you have more problems than I thought.

"by your own admission you are the architypical mean hearted parasite."

LOL more than you know Wink

However I would leave the description of Parasite to the likes of you. Your constent whine and whinging, gimmie gimmie attitude show you for the type of person you are. One of lifes losers.

I don't mind being thought of as Victor Meldrew, but I wouldn't want to be confused with the character he plays, Richard Wilson. Wilson is the archetypical "champagne socialist" - and I mean "champagne", in spades, redoubled.

Epiglotis

I'm happy to help anyone interested in studying VDW, from however sceptical a position, but am not prepared to put myself out any more, even an inch, for those like you who are interested only in being negative.

Determined

The first half of my comment to Epiglotis applies to you, of course, as well as to numerous others.

The first at York yesterday was, I think, a surprise to most, certainly including me, though a fellow contributor to the thread emailed Tedstale as the c/f (although an inconsistent one) well before the off, and in the event T was perhaps a shade unlucky not to have won.

That apart, the c/fs as posted by Guest scored well as usual, and hopefully we will find a number going in at Royal Ascot.

He will probably have read your post by now.

Personally I could not view Tedstale as a form horse for the race, on the same line of thinking as led VDW to leave aside several horses with decent recent form in the race where he named Desert Hero as the c/f. But these are matters of interpretation, and our colleague concerned is without doubt one of the most studious researchers into VDW's appproach.
