I recently enquired about a close member of a certain jewish family and can state without fear of recourse or sophism that the person who claims to be VDW is not in fact him, the methods he is employing are purfunctory.

I am pleased and fortunate to find you still alive,

30 odd year's ago you told me personally why horses fall.

This clarity of direction saved me many a pretty penny i can tell you.

I would be in you gratitude once again if you tell me why they pull up?

yours sincerely

Gordon.

Gummy - It seems the major drawback to your forum going public again is that the cloak of guest status seems to allow this page to turn into amateur comedy hour.

Once or twice I have personally decided to withdraw from posting for one reason or another. At the moment I can see no reason to post anything of sensible or worthwile content. Maybe that will change at some point, but I do have my doubts.

I'll watch with a passing interest from the sidelines from time to time though.

Having just returned from a few days holiday I was disappointed to see the change in the character of the thread to which Guest and Determined have referred.

Among all the nonsense, your "navel gazing" posts seem to me to have received markedly less attention than they deserve, and I should like to join Mimas in thanking you for taking the trouble to post them, as they certainly provide food for reflection. It remains to be seen whether the thread reverts to a state where it makes any sense to pursue the lines you've opened up, but if not here they will certainly be explored elsewhere.

Regards.

Once you have found the class/form horse, you then have to determine if it passes all the other filters and is the likely winner. Satatajack has listed some potential vdw selections. I don't know if the people that mentioned these horses considered them c/form horses in their races. I have marked the ones I consider to be with a * that is not to say there have not been many others. Today, I made Tough Speed and Capricho, both c/form horses. TS failed on my filters but C was a bet.

** c/form but no bet for what ever reason

18/06/02 Rock Of Gibraltar won 4/5 ** (price)
09/07/02 Feet So Fast won 7/2 *
09/07/02 Millenary won 5/2 ** (failed to many times)
02/08/02 Nayyir won 9/2 *
03/08/02 Prompt Payment won 6/4 *
03/08/02 Scott's View won 6/5 ** (no value)
10/08/02 Feet So Fast won 6/4
16/08/02 Systematic won 4/11** (price)
17/8/02 Fayr Jag lost
17/8/02 Mubtaker won 11/8*
20/08/02 Bandari won 4/5.** (price)

I am sorry to say that if Gummy doesn't sort this thread out quickly I also will not bother to post again. I would like to thank the members that have made this the best thread on the inernet, and I sorry to see it end like this.

Be Lucky

There seems to be a lot of sensitive skin round here. A few months ago when this board was the of the same condition it is today, the same people who complain now were quite happy then.
Guest, if I am not mistaken you are the same Guest who was a guest for a long time under the old rules. Some of the new guests may in time have something to contribute, indeed one of them is obviously not too much of a layman as he signs himself G Hall.
However if the critically hostile reception that they are recieving is to set the tone for the discussion I am inclined to agree that little benefit will accrue from their adoption.
Obviously each of us has to defend their self-interest, and if a person decides that their best interest is served by abandoning the board, then they are absolved from criticism for their decision. What does need questioning is if that same person acts in precipitous pre-judgement or is guilty of ludditism in resisting change.
I am not, as I am sure you are aware, impartial in my opinion in this matter, but I am also not an anarchist. It is my custom only to put a guest out of my house after he has started to spit on the floor.

Just got back from the pub, my wife's pissed off, the RP online has "no results in yet", life is already exemplifying some kind of torture without the added suspense of waiting for the results of the Guest vs Van Der Wheil story?

I would like to address various long term members who have recently complained on this thread about the renewed public status of the Gummy board, if you want it private you have to give Gummy your financial support. If you're so shit-kickingly hot at finding winners you shouldn't be seriously incommoded by this. Your insistence on behaving like dependent kids multiplies the featheryness of your assertions.

Gummy,

Newcomers of course are very welcome and as Silverbuck points out there maybe some out there who`ll bring alot of knowledge to this thread.

Equally, several could damage this brilliant website.

You are monitoring things closely which makes me feel a bit better.

Cheers,
