I have a problem.
Time. And an apology. I enjoyed 'running' the 80% challenge in March, but perhaps suggesting it would run for 12 months was a little ambitious given my busy, busy world. So, I am going to back out before April kicks off. However, there are a couple of options... 1. Perhaps someone might like to take over the job. If so, just say the word and you are the boss. 2. Maybe we could alternate it between a few of us, a month at a time? 3. If no one takes it on and for those who like competing, there are a couple of other competitions open to all members on the General and Sparky threads. *********************** If the 80% thread continues, I would certainly take part. Anyhow, there it is. Sorry. BlackCat ![]() __________________________________________________________ "If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there". |

Hi BC, I didn't know you were such a sore loser
![]() Seriously, thanks for your work over the last month. Your banter and entertainment quiz will be greatly missed. Unfortunately, I cannot commit myself to anything at present. I am on tenderhooks awaitng the arrival of little Miss Trojan AND have just put the house on the market in order to move to a new area (well, back to my roots) Thanks again for the fun you have provided. PS This isn't an "April Fool" is it? (he asks hopefully). |

Sean,
Pity, but I know what it's like trying to run something like this, as well as keep a day job. Oldtimer |

Yes, Old Timer, I fully appreciate the time and effort taken by you diligent few.
I know I'm lucky to benefit from so much work done by the hard-working handful. I'm grateful. |

Friday’s starter for ten
Thank you all for your understanding and kind comments. It is a shame. And I enjoy doing it to be honest, so it's not a chore from that point of view. But I can see that in April and in particular May and June there will be weeks when I'm just not going to be around to do it. If someone does want to take over, Seanrua’s result today was: Seanrua 330Doncaster, Pokermilliondotcom, 0.5pt EW - PLACED 2nd - 5/2 (-0.25) …and Rab has a dutch for the Lincoln tomorrow. Trojan - Make sure you let us know when little Miss Trojan arrives. Well done again to Old-Timer, Trojan and Rab. Hope you enjoyed the medal ceremony! The answer to yesterdays ‘drop the dead donkey’ is Because her “D.I.V.O.R.C.E. becomes final today”, as sung by the late, great Tammy Wynette. Today’s ‘tear on my pillow’ is: He was B on J. Now he’s B in M. (But it doesn’t seem safe to go there). A good detective could solve this clue. Who is he? ![]() __________________________________________________________ "If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there". |

Yesterday’s ‘tear on my pillow’ answer is:
Bream is a good detective and worked out that he was Bergerac on Jersey. Now he’s Barnaby in Midsomer. (But it doesn’t seem safe to go there - with all those muders!). He is John Nettles. Well done! ![]() __________________________________________________________ "If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there". |

Congratulations Trojan (or should I say Mrs. Trojan). Sad about your bet of the day, but on this occasion we can understand that you did have weightier matters on your mind!
