Given that the ground will still be heavy come Wednesday, I'd say there's every chance he'll get in. If he does he'll probably be single figures by the day. Be interesting to see who rides him at 8st 4lbs; we'll know later on today.

Wouldn't think so - nor would his trainer, so it seems? Considering his optional entry was in the gp2 Lonsdale over 2 miles, 14f under 9.11 should be within his compass.
looks to be a good rematch with young mick, mad rush will need to improve am begining to side with him/her lumping that weight in soft wont be easy but we,ll see

Hi Johnd
I've given your post some thought.
Didn't VDW say that nothing had been written for the sake of it? and to "READ WHAT WAS THERE". If that is so, and he also wrote "look what it had behind it", then surely that must form at least part of the evaluation.
"....providing YOU READ WHAT WAS THERE. The last in capitals because it was all there although a vital factor, call it the missing link if you like, was not deliberately pointed out.
Although he mentioned what they ran against later in SIAO, it is not a part of that oft referred to 'Vital Factor', nor is it needed to explain his examples. In fact, as Boozer points out, it does a very poor job in explaining some of them.
Are there any horses in the Ebor that have this vital factor? im really curious as to what this is as if it improves my betting by 20% or so i could be retiring at 45 instead of 50 .
