Hi Trojan -- these days I don't tend to follow the Gummy website like I used to. I suppose I lost interest in it really, but your postings have come to my attention and have only just discovered this one. I have spent the last 30 minutes or so going through this thread from the start.

Just like to add my comments to everyone elses, and that is very well done.

You may or may not remember that I had a thread a couple of years ago called 'ValueShots' and it went through a terrific purple patch when I first started it in January 2004. I seem to remember I managed to attain about 200 points profit within about 8 months, but then the inevitable long losing run set in and the profit was slowly reduced to about 70 points I think, at which point I became dissollutioned with the whole thing and abandoned it.

But the early days were marvellous with everybody's comments making the whole thing worthwhile. Sadly, for reasons best known to himself, Gummy deleted the whole thread, so no record exists of the results apart from me printing out all the best bits before the plug was pulled !
