The more i sit here and go over this the more i get confused, but believe me i'll get this sorted if it's the last thing i do.

In the Donny Mile tomorrow there are some horse's that ran either a LISTED or a GROUP race, How do we convert this to class.

Are you giong to give us some more examples, if so can it be races were everything goes according to plan, ie a race you would actually bet in.

regarding group/listed class take your stats fromthe highest class available, later on the post should update and show trainer/jockey stats for these races.

i am off there now to look at tomorrow and will put up my bets but wont show all the workings again,i seem to have spent hours typing today anymore and i will need a secretary.

Yes it's ME again,

If you had a selection that qualified the filters but was'nt in the top third of the points value table, would this selection then be discarded.

Max;Thanks for your valued contribution where you have spelt things out clearly which gives the individual the means of selecting potential winners. It also has the benefit of doing away largely with this attitude of reading between the lines although of course this cannot be discounted completely. Also there is no smugness or sense of superiority attached to your thread which is refreshing.

My head hurts...

HELP - quote "consider comb f/c and t/c if the prices are good" - what does this means, - sorry for being dumb.

I reckon in 20years, future message board types will debate your meanings for hours on end...

Prehaps Florence is up for the job of secretary(joke) - not very PC I know

I've just been over the donny mile (and i'm knackered) and just want you to help me with my findings regarding the filters.

DANDOUN the trainer is only 2/26=7% at this distance. NON QUALIFIER

KINGS IRONBRIDGE the trainer is only 4% overall in this Race Type, and the jockey i've got a BIG question mark against all his catorgories.

and also when you say, go baak to the higest class available would we then use the prize money/weights from these races.

had a study of the 4.20 southwell
i can see the reason for al,s alibi train/jock both 80/20 won crs/dst/won with to-days weight eased last race
but i cant see why you go for inthaar won here in 13/7/01 at dist carrying less weight to-day from it win last race no imp fnl fur only won one fron 12 attempts only won 1 from 6 attemts on the dist jock 80/20

Max,

Well done in putting your thoughts down on paper. I know it's hard to do. Coming from somewhat different starting points, and having never met, I find it very encouraging that much of what you have written down is similar to what I have worked out independently. I've just got to stop trying to take short cuts to save time.

Good luck to you and I hope you have a successful season.

I mentioned on another thread last night that I liked Dandoun. At the time I took 3.7 on Betfair, just saw your above post and checked. It was coming in so I laid it at 2.65. A bird in the hand and all that. The only other one I bet at Doncaster is Dancing Mystery so it is nice to know that I have made a profit on the first day of the flat already. Long may it last.
By the way I love your thread.

Cheers
Jimmy

Kis,

Ref DANDOUN Trainer Stats, He has a 10/75 w/r over the last 4 seasons in 4yo+/mile 1998 and 2001 were poor but 2000 and 1999 were over 20%. all in all I'd let him scrape in.

KINGS IRONBRIDGE Jockey, cant see any mitigating circumstances on this one.

I've a fancy for Swallow Flight with Dandoun in this one, both train/jock are 80/20 (Stephens rolling list) both animals CD winners which ties in with the Max's course notes. Can't find any rp online data for G Wragg at course though, otherwise, given JLD's mitigating circumstances remaining filters look all in the green to me.

Hey Ho, time will tell.

well like i said DANDOUN landed a sizable punt winning at 11/10,i hope some of you got on early,i took the 2/1 available and even this was less than expected,in view of this and the fact that KINGS IRONBRIDGE was over 3 times the price i had to alter my stake a little and eventually went 75/25.
ALS ALIBI did the business as well and i am happy even though i took 7/2 after 4s were everywhere.
i finished up as follows-
DANDOUN £150 win at 2/1-return £450
ALS ALIBI £140 win at 7/2-return £630
total stake outlay £400
return £1080
profit on day £680

target reached for week, look forward to a relaxing weekend.
and thats how its done.

back tonight
max.
