got limp wrists but re your last post-when i say discount any trainer if unplaced with runners in last 14 days i mean if ALL or high majority unplaced.
e.g i.balding last 14 days 8 runners only and all ran unplaced then give him the boot.

course profile list to follow tomorrow.

Well Mate what can i say, one small word comes to mind "THANKS"
But when you have done STEP 2 and have the figures wrote down for each selection, can you give us a bit more detail as to what you exactly mean when you say,

"If you are happy with your comparisons".

What is it we actually do with these figures?

MAX wonderfull stuff a revelation to me
some times but not always i dont understand things so if my q seems silly thats is becuase i dont understand
1st step 3 what is the 80/20 list how is this derived at
2nd in step 2 par 4 (ie)subtract or add points i have read it a few times and i still not grasped it you say in the 1st part of the par sub or add points we get to the 4k race because it,s of lower value we subtract 8pts (ie) thats the amount of runners in the race, also in the 3rd race another 8pts subtract that i understand
its the next bit that is my problem
just remember if todays race is of greater val then the horse loses 8 pts and if todays race is lesser val then 8 pts are added
its seems to me that your contradicting yourself
1st you say lose 8pts in lower value, then you say if the val is less you add 8pts
am i thick or what

i know it looks complicated at first but you will soon look at a race and the ones that count will jump out at you.
in answer to your questions 1 the 80/20 list can be found on the previous page posted up on sunday afternoon by kis after i had made a mess of it.
2 i have looked back over my last post regarding form evaluation in case i had made a mistake but as far as i can see it seems ok-if horse today is running in a race of greater value than any of its last 3 then it loses x points depending on how many runners.if todays race is of lesser value than any of its last 3 then add those points instead.
stick with it i will explain much better when i can show a working example.
i have looked at the 3.45 ludlow and come up with some qualifiers.will do my best to post up before race.

following on from previous posts i would like to go into a more detailed explanation of form evaluation-

when you rate the form worth of every runner in a race bare in mind that it is not written in stone and depending on your own enthusthiasm concerning a particular runner your own interpretation of filtered qualifiers chances does play a part.
as a general rule i would be wary of backing ANY selection that does not fall into the top third rating of entire field.
that is to say out of all the runners total points value your selection should be amongst the top third rated e.g 12 runners=top 4 rated.
obviously the higher the difference your filtered selection is against the field should increase your confidence in its ability to beat the field.
GOING/DISTANCE
it goes without saying that any potential selection should have shown some sembalence of form at the distance and on the going.the only race where this would not be a condition would be in maiden races where the very nature of this race type is somewhat of a lottery.

you will find that any filtered selection that has a total points value that is more than 25% greater than its nearest rival represents an outstanding wager in its own right and can be the only example of backing 1 runner in a race and not dutching.

back later,max.

Max, thats marvellous, well presented and easily understood.

I have to say though that after I`d read it I burst out in fits of LOL.

I conjured up a picture in my mind of Q going through a 6 card 45 race Saturday afternoon with some cavalry charges of 20+ runners and steam coming out of his ears.

Seriously though do you have any advice on a way to select likely races to get involved with before the filter/points process. Or do you actually go through all the cards.

As an afterthought, is there any merit in concentrating only on the first 5/6 in the RP betting forcast, or would this provide an escape route for some big price winners.

Yours, with much appreciation

I think you need to know how to copy and paste, then you can type it into word or what ever you use and then paste it on the board. Then if you do have any probs you can then just try and paste it again as you wont have lost it.

step 1 - type what ever you want, then hold the mouse cursor at the begining press the left button and hold it then drag the cursor over the text, it then goes Blue. When your've got to the end of the text you want to copy let go of the button.

Step 2 then putting your cursor over the text press the right button, a box will drop down and inside you will see the word "copy", left click on the word copy. you now have the text in your memory.

Step 3 then go to the window on gummy's board where you want to put the text and put the cursor in the window and press the right button the box drops down and inside you will see the word "paste" left click on the word and hey presto you have copied and pasted.
Hope this helps

agree with you cut/paste - seems quite a few on this board have similar issues.

But re your point 1: some find it easier to go EDIT then SELECT ALL rather than use the mouse.

No issue, just want to learn this game and if it helps those that know ...
