As a new boy I have been trying to catch up on this marvellous thread. I hope it is not too late for a couple of questions.
Max, when you visit the tracks, do you ever change your mind about any pre-planned wagers, after you have seen the horse(s) in the ring?
Does the activivity of the rails bookmakers every disuade or persuade you in any direction, when placing bets at the track?

well i never realized i was so popular thanks for all the kind words.i may be off today but i will be back,its just that something unexpected has cropped up and i am going to be out of the country but with a bit of luck i should be posting again in time for the first classic.
i have not had time to run filter on any of todays but if i was having a go then these interest me-
3.00 leic marlo
4.00 leic weet a minute
4.20 muss digdaga
2.10 exet d'argent
if passing the filter then the above would be bets for me.

others to note include royal cascade 2.30 leic-spring pursuit 3.30 leic-piccled 3.50 muss-duelling banjos 4.50 muss.

Sorry I`m a bit late.

I gave myself the 5:10 Exe to give me time.

The Master List produced 11 trainers & 9 jocks.

The only pairs of trainers/jockeys to survive the filters were:

Nicols/Murphey....RUBY GALE....PVT..214..Pos..3
Pipe/ McCoy.......MISS COOL....PVT..266..Pos..2
Knight/Culloty....BROKEN DREAM.PVT..129..Pos..7
King/Johnson.... LORDS BEST...PVT..208..Pos..4

The highest rated at Pos 1 was Karinga City with a PVT of 361 but it`s been performing poorly in high grade races, today it`s down 6 grades.

As MISS COOL/RUBY GALE are Pos 2&3 respectively they seem like a possible Dutch although the former is just a tadge less than 25% clear of the latter for perhaps a win bet only and it is MP/AP.

Thats it, my heads hurting, it took me a long time.

Just gone over the 3.20 at MUSSLEBURGH and here are my findings;

From the MASTER LIST we have;

COSMIC CASE failed filters
I GOT RHYTHM failed filters
LUCKY JUDGE Passed filters
SPORTS EXPRESS Passed filters

The PV Table came up with the following;

COSMIC CASE 315
GIVE AN INCH 195
WITH PANACHE 195
I GOT RHYTHM 180
WESTERMOST 150
NORTHERN MOTTO 125
LUCKY JUDGE 100
HANNAH PARK 85
SPORTS EXPRESS 65
ONE DOMINO 55
MISTER DOC 50
MIRACLE ISLAND 25
HIGH DRAMA 10
SUPREME SILENCE 5
HORTON DANCER 5

As you can see both the selections that passed the filters did not finish in the top third of the PV Table, but both the selections that did pass the filters didn't finish in the top third.
So from that all I can conclude is that there is no bet.
But whats the betting that the winner must come from the 4 from the master list.
HO HOW WE COULD DO WITH SOME HELP FROM THE GREAT ONE NOW!

KIS and all of you that e-mailed me seeing there are a few of you interested it may be a better idea to do this through the forum
MAX im glad that you will be back and what follows is what i believe
MAX gave us a system we all know it works because he went live with his bets and they showed a profit this is fact
I ALSO BELIEVE that he gave us everything to do with the system he did not hold anything back BUT i think he wanted to really suss out the best way of selecting the horses
SOME of you tried it like myself the way max said and you know for one meeting it takes a awfull long time and then your left with nothing or a few horses that was the selecting then after you got these horses you could only bet them after you looked at the hoses form, there is no way could we look at 2 meetings let alone 3 meetings also you must agree that max picked some horses that did not pass the filtering after the master list
SO I GAVE IT SOME THOUGHT and i have come up in a way max might wanted to find,this is as far that im going at the moment if you believe what im saying then let me know on the forum if not i will carry on doing max system on my own but i think it is best if we helped one another, let me know your thoughts and i will come back later to-night if there is a good response then i will give you it tonight

One last thought about Max and his methods, have a look at my recent post on this thread re the 5:10 Exeter, I followed his method to the letter and it worked.

Florence alias Cabbie;I consider that Max gave a helluva a lot of valuable information in good faith.However,the thread is in danger of developing along the lines of the vdw thread if we are not careful.As in vdw there are areas where different opinion is apparent and I for 1 believe sensible discretion is required.What some people are looking for through Max`s system is a ready made system that cannot fail with only one course/selection(s) if dutching..I do not think that Max`s system is inflexible although others I think would prefer no if`s and but`s.Max has given essential rules to be followed but then common sense must prevail.That`s my view for what it`s worth but other may and should have their own opinion!

I don't think anyone would not want to hear what you are saying,you certainly have a great understanding of Max's work and your interpretation/suggestions will I'm sure,be interesting.

Hi....Youve raised some good points...I too dont want it going the way of VDW there are always going to be different opinions / interperatations and slight rule bending about all the various selection procedures there are.
Max has done a truely excelant job of laying out a procedure to follow to select winners and I think it is down to us to keep it at that and use our "Common Sense" (what is also known as the notorious Missing Link for VDW Worshipers.....but dont tell them that their still searching for it...lol)
I personaly dont like dutching if I see more than one serious danger to my selection I dont bother betting but it obviously works for Max and I would not dream of critisising it nor will it put me off following this thread.....long may it continue.
