Since I have been shouting the odds about Folk not Posting before the race - I had better have a go myself !

I am having 2 bets

3.20 Wolv - Countdown - based on its G3 run in France lto + of course the "Maestro" at the AW !

3.30 Win - Half an Hour - EW at around 4/5 to 1 - Based on the Form and the trainers track record - I think in an 8 runner race - this is a bet for nothing - no bet if less than 8 runners or if the odds go daft !

I an also going to have a speculative Fun bet at Wolves - Both the "Prescot horses in a small Double ( the other one is Kangrina in the 1.50)

Epi
I think i may have made a mistake with COUNTDOWN although i feel the horse will go close,I would like to revise my bet.

0.5pts COUNTDOWN.
0.5pts BOND CITY.

It's only just after 1.0 clock so i'm well within the start of the race.Good luck to all. Smile

Nessie your figures on either side add up to neither 10 nor 100 and all results will be calculated to sp. You cant define your stake after the result, otherwise you could Dutch the entire field at suitable stakes.

Tricky - Calculating Dutches at the best of times - let alone -in a comp like this - may I suggest that Nessie splits a stake of £10 and gives the actual stake on each horse - when posting the selections .

I don't think there can be argument then Smile

I assume that eveyone is accepting SP as the basis for calculating their return ?

Nessie: That would be fine but I'm not monitoring the Betfair market. This challenge is about selections rather than staking strategies, particiularly those that cant be confirmed. In future please divide your stakes re. sp in advance.

 Betting Forecast (1:50, 13 run - WOLVERHAMPTON (A.W) 07 Oct 2004)
7/4 Musical Day (36.36%)
9/4 Watchmyeyes (67.13%)
5/1 Kangrina (83.8%)

sperting life
11/4 Watchmyeyes (26.67%)
3/1 Musical Day (51.67%)
7/2 Kangrina (73.89%)

Betfair sp was as above

RP sp was
2.75 Watch'
2.875 Music'
5.0 Kang'

The Betfair price can be confirmed. and I picked the horses and it is not a staking strategy any more than using say level stakes.

1/5th of a point then?

Nessie: please use the online Racing post forecast and convert to fractions of a point staked on each horse. I'm not going to spend hours doing arithmatic for other people, I did that last time and once is enough.

You want me to use the forecast rather than sp?

in that case 100%-83.8% = 16.2% = 0.162 points there will be no minimum % next time.

Use the forecast to divide your stakes and returns will be calculated to sp.

1/5 of a point is the 20 you originally claimed and that's fine with me on this ocassion.

epi - let him divide his stakes anyway he wants - as long as the return on the stake is calculated at SP ! - and the two other stakes are deducted from the winnings .

(stakes to be declared at time of the selection)

after all - investor has Dutched at level stakes that also is acceptable !

Good start JIB !

If the thing is divided into stakes as a fraction of one point Dutching is fine, just keep it simple.
