Investor,

2 for 2 losers, for me, 2 for 2 leave em for you - lesson learnt. I will still make that kind of mistake - please let me know when I do.

Not so great Scott, but Always Waining ensured a massive profit of 0.1pt on the day! Roll Eyes

Always Waining... reminded me of that great Fools & Horses episode with the singer that Del Boy thought he was going to make a fortune on... until he heard him sing "The gween, gween gwass of home". Big Grin

Newmarket 3.25
Dutch Azamour and Mister Monet

Me I've been a chickenshit and dutched with Doyen and RFTB.

Total Stake
Income: 58.66
ROI: 58.66%
or
Profit

Price:
36.06
Price:
24.79
Price:
24.04
Price:
15.11

So Haafhd will wing it!

Had the going been faster my sole selection would have been Azamour.

Comments gratefully received - positive or negative, though so far I only expect an answer from Investor - you may take the piss out of him (I think I have been guilty) but at least he answers you and gives an opinion (and on my selections he's been correct)- very rare on VDW - that is as close as to a compliment I think as you can get from me.

However, Investor, I can say thank you outright - no kiss arse, just thank you.

Your 4 for the Champion Stakes:

AZAMOUR
Consistent, improving, best recent form in the race. Distance wnr at this level; unproven on soft, but has never raced on it. Class/form horse, (IMO), and likeliest winner.

DOYEN
Consistent & improving, (Until lto), high class horse, but has disappointed both runs below 12f. Couldn't be a bet on his last run.

MISTER MONET
Highly consistent & improving, aimed at this for some time. However, this is a big step up in class, and his form so far is only against gp3 horses.

REFUSE TO BEND
Inconsistent, but has high class form at this distance & on this ground. The way he was ridden lto, after a 2 month break, suggests that could have been a warm-up for this and is a live danger.

A no bet race for me, but the same process shows up Mirjan as the likely winner of the following race.
Hope this helps!

For the sake of the big underpants contest, I won't pick Skidmark, but I'll go 0.5 pt EW on

BALMONT, 205 Newmarket ( Sat, 15 Oct).
