I was thinking along similar lines last night - but I concluded that since only 1 point is allowed per race (i think) - then the stakes would be 1/6 pt win + 1/6 pt place - not a lot !

Dont like either of the 2 Wetherby races - Question marks all over.

I looked hard at Ed'iff But going up 15lb from lto has shown form with top weight,But wild power looks dangerous to me.Good luck.

Cheers Investor. It was one of the reasons I didn't select Hernando's Boy 9lbs more in a class of race only just below it's win at Kelso.

Ede'Iff is the same weight as when a very close second at Wincanton same class of race (not BHB class) - b***er, just noticed that it's the RP Nap. Still it's posted and there it will remain - if nothing else I hope to learn from it.

Hernando's boy was running in a novice Hurdle (with nothing to beat ) there is a difference.Not aftertiming just an observation.

There was too much going on in that race,You have to look at all the angles,Not less so than withh Papua.This horse hasn't won for a year,But where did it win it's last 2 races in 2003.I didn't play in the race,But that's not to say that these type of races should be passed by.It's all a learning process and if you keep on doing these evaluations then eventually you will see patterns emerge.
