Good day for the odds on fav backers - Fig Flyer just gone in at Lingfield.

-

At a bigger price - I fancy Fromsong in the 3.00 - currently 6s

Egan is 44% with Ivory at Lingfield and he has a decent draw today.

Tell me I'm wrong , but I recon that you are being offered 6/1 for what is better than a 2/1 shot.

However both sources are probably a bit out of date but as the sire is well tried any differences should only be minor ones.

Another point to consider is that as the horse only cost £4k it probably doesnt resemble its brothers and sisters v much so one has to question the relevance of the stats in these cases.

While there can be a number of form horses in a race, there can only, logically, be one 'best horse'.

Hi Johnd
Are you saying if you get the correct class/form horse in the race you will get most of the winners?
Only 'given certain other factors', which isn't nearly as often as your question implies. Smile

Yep thats me.

I started on here as
imamugpunter
but someone moaned that 5 syllables was too many for a board ID so I shortened it to
imp
Ima
Mug
Punter

not because I have an impish sense of humour! Fish

I'm really quite a boring lazy procrastinating old grump Violin
