You can take a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. Similarly, you can show a fool a method, but you can't make him think!
A few weeks I wrote to you regarding a particular aspect of trainer placement, had you benefitted at all from that missive you would have seen that 4 of the 6 horses that Epi was was so disparaging about had that selfsame trait in various guises.
They also had certain other 'attributes' in common, all there to be found well before the race, 3 of them won, 1 was 'unfortunate', c'est la vie.
'Uphill struggle' doesn't do it justice. Smile

is drifting badly - whilst tht money is steadily coming for Lacasicos which was a good EW bet @ 8/1 last night, but is now down to 5s

Does that bother you JIB ??

Frown would never have won.

TC,

Laconicus shortening was just the bookies reaction to the ew thieves. The real conundrum was why Josear, who was a different class, wasnt punted right in because it cant have been a surprise to the stable.

Ellerslie Tom walked quite badly from Evs to 2/1 which shows that he wasnt expected today which is a disappointment as he is due a win.

Ive been fascinated by the fact that VDW made a point of naming the ultra consistent mare Soba "As one to leave alone" on her next season.
When VDW mentioned Roushayds winning race classes as a 3 yr old he also emphasized the word (Progressively).
As a 4 yr old Roushayd won the Old Newton Cup but never won another race afterwards.

Does my head in trying to match and weigh up the English /Irish form, when they clash !

Mind you, the other week at Musslebugh - I had a field day, when all 4 Irish raiders came in .

Big Grin

tend to agree tho' re Harchibald
