Not looked at tomorrows racing as yet tuppeny/imp.
Must admit im beginning to wonder if it`s worth while persevering.
My best mate was in tonight giving me the pleasure of his company as our footy bet went down lol.
I let him take a good look at the other forum & this is what he had to say & i quote "If they were greyhounds bud they`d have been put down years ago " end quote.
He is a top accountant at HM Shipyard Rosyth weve known each other since we were at Primary School & have grown up together.

Unlucky with the 1st one TC i didnt see or bet in the race but 2.25 lengths after 2m1.5f is quite close & seeing it went off at 1.33 you got a good price best of luck with the rest
all the best

I was bloody stupid to back that - In novice hurdles, all sorts can come out of the woodwork (and VDW knew it, hence he never backed them)

In this case, the winner was 1stone better rated than Sasso on the flat !!!

If I had clocked that, then the race would have been a No Bet.

Hmm the juries out still.

Lennon shortened nicly so I got a better price. 1/6 isn't even on Betfairs conversion table !

When Le Corvee was declaird a NR - I froze - I should have taken the next horse for the dutch ! It was of course Twist Magic.

Seveneightsix ran an absolute shocker - I suspect it was pulled up cos it had dropped to last.

tc

my comments on Lennon are on the starting from scratch thread.

Tony Peach's reply to Black Cat, if someone can translate it into english it would be helpful:
I don't know why I bother to reply, except I know several peiple who have been using this forum are pretty genuine.
For a stalrt I was approached by Colin Davy on the phone at half-past ten at night telling me he could make me a millionaire and spent the next half-hour asking me should he fly with his family on a holiday as he was chicken about flying. However, as I was interested in what he wanted to ldo I said I would meet him in in Bury St Edmunds near to where he live. I went down and he kept giving excuses not to see mes, although I found out later that he lwlanted to put all the VDW boks to sell las one.
Tony Evans was given a big spaces 3 times in the Update to give his version of VDW.
And the person I spoke to was getting on in 1978 and I have lettersand postcards that he sent me when writing free articles for my books. And perhaps sthe most important point I commissioned articles from him.
But I does not surprise me that there are people in this game ready to take on decent punters. tony

epi-

thats interesting - you and BC must have paid your , "tenners" to remain on the site !

-

It would appear that there "is" a connection between Davy , Evans, Peach and VDW !!

-

Going back at least to 1978 !!!

-

the Plot thickens !!

-

lets see if there are any further developments.

-

Pity that BC hasn't seen fit to keep us - "up to date " !

-

Peach must be getting prety "Senile" by now , so it is not suprising that the answer is a bit "vague"

I've been banned from posting since my first day but I can still read. Looks to me like you've been banned for letting the "cat" out of the bag about Evans. Are you Tuppenycat over there too?

The tenner has a few of the 'big names' falling on their swords.

Heres girocheques reply to Stone (Mtotos son) who true to tradition didnt like girocheques first appraisal of the whiteflagers:

"Stone,

The point you make about a tenner being cheap is exactly the point I am making as regards the decision for members to curtail their involvement in the forum because of its imposition.

No one, if they have it, would give a tenner for something they regard as useless. By the same token if someone does not have a tenner then the object of his desire is beyond his reach.

So if a current member resigns over the paltry membership fee it is either because he thinks it would be a waste of money in that the methods discussed here have no comercial or intellectual value, or their proponents are halfwits who, as you point out, may have an absurd desire to see their considerations taken seriously by any quality of audience. Or yet more tragically their betting already has too many holes below the water-line and even another tenner a year is going to scuttle the whole venture."

Actually 3p a day is well worth it when you see dear investor desperately trying to be taken seriously by his idols and getting shat on about twice a day for his troubles! Smile
