Has an excellent chance, but IMO wouldn't be a bet with doubts about the ground.
If it is at all soft, Zero Tolerance should run a big race.
Hope it wins for you! Thumb

what doubts about the ground???

it was just on the easy side yesterday..it will be perfect GOOD ground..just on the speeding up side.

if you make speed figures you will know the going.

what ground do you want for the horse to be a bet then John?

are you having a bet today?

Magnet Cup

3,4 or 5yo
Drawn 13 or lower
5 runs or less this season
male
not ridden by a claimer
Handicap or maiden last time out
9-<12f last time
must not carry a penalty
beaten less than 6 lengths last run

ZERO TOLERANCE
WOODCRACKER
JAMES CAIRD

Zero Tolerance wants slower ground

I'm betting WOODCRACKER (7.2 on BF) & JAMES CAIRD (30.0 on BF)

I might be lunatic fringe but I'm not sh*t scared to put CLEAR selections up before a race JohnD
Love

ALAN B has supplied a GENUINE VDW selection

from the board where they put selections up before races:

Like you, I think it quite possible that MULLINS BAY will defy his lack of being a consistent horse in VDW terms, and the draw. And once he became a Pricewise selection, he became easy to handle. I've backed him quite heavily, and (unless his odds lengthen dramatically in the next 50 minutes) will be laying him off to ensure that, win or lose, there will be enough profit to cover the possible loss of a more modest bet on the class/form horse (Crow Wood).[/b]

Well, we had a go. A difficult race to sort out, and I think that the winner ran a very good race.

Cheers drink

In one of the booklets it says that most readers will be aware of the statistics regarding horses that finished 1,2,3,4 l.t.o. What are the statistics for these placings l.t.o to win next time out?.

A quick rough and ready thrash on Masseys flat database gives...
1lto=16.4%
2lto=16.9%
3lto=12.8%
4lto=10.5%

cheers IMP

Not exactly conclusive then Imp, quite disappointing in fact, youd have thought it would have been a consistent gradual regression.
Maybe the stats were different in vdws day eh.

I have to say the figure for 1lto looks a bit dubious, youd have expected it to be more than 2lto. On the other hand if youve got some high class racing with most of the runners 1lto then only i can win which immediately brings down the %.

cheers IMP

Im sure that when vdw brought these % to our attention that he had something in mind.
The figures quoted by Imp however do not portray any sort of significant advantage whatsoever within the last 4 placings l.t.o.to winners next time out.
