people that use the term "racing certainty" display a naivety way beyond comprehension...I believe it's a term used by VDW as well

It is naive to think there aren't racing certainties, in much the same way that it is stupid to make broad generalisations on subjects one has only a passing acquaintance with.
Wouldn't stop you though, would it; 2 days, for Chris'sake?

Today im having win bets on Sundrop in the 3.05 & Azamour in the 3.45 also having a place bet at approx 4.5 on Warrsan in the latter race as he is no 20/1 shot against this lot.

Good to see someone has the inclination to post!
Nothing stands out today, IMO, but a few thoughts anyhow.
In the 2.30, Home Affairs & Camacho would be the likeliest winners, with Luas Line not far away.
In the 3.05, Soviet Song is the class horse, but unlikely to be fully tuned.
In the 3.45, Ouija Board is likely to be even better over this trip, which could give her the edge over Azamour.
In the 4.20, Night Air & Eden Rock have both been laid out for this, though the former has a poor draw to overcome.
The other 2 races contain too many unexposed types for a proper evaluation.

Rather than picking a fight with Ectoo about racing certainties, and I'm inclined to agree with him about that. I would be far more interested in how you made Var a VDW selection, as he was neither consistent or improving. Many seem to ignore this factor, in fact we had Gummy recently putting up selections ignoring this. The formula says consistent form, he went into great detail explaining how, and why this is an important part of the method. You take great delight in pointing out how wrong I am because I use speed to find ability. At least that is a method VDW showed worked, but to ignore consistency I find hard to understand. Ectoo and JIB both agree consistency is one of the reasons the VDW methods are flawed, does this mean you agree with them about it?

Why do you think this? VDW said he used the SCHB BECAUSE it listed the races for the coming week. Would it really take that long to go through and mark the selected races and find the listed horses. After all he was concentrating only on consistent horses and/or horses who were improving. These improving horses used to be marked in that paper so again easy to find. I think there was an index that showed all the races horses were entered in if they had multiple entries. By studying these entries wouldn't that give an insight to how the trainer was thinking? Also think the regional handicapping stopped in the early 70's.

Although the schb had the 5 day entries, what use is a 5 day entry?

Usually there are four or five times more entries than there will be runners, the same trainer usually qualifying several horses though on the day only one or none of them will run. So not only would someone have four or five times as many horses to look at he also couldnt know what they were going to race against.

Most 5 day entries do not have a jockey booking and they certainly dont dare to predict the going.

However if you have a horse on a list you can see earlier than the 24 decs if it has been entered up and prepare yourself at leisure as to its ideal conditions.

Rather than picking an argument with me, wouldn't you be better putting up your own selections?
If you disagree about racing certainties, perhaps you should take it up with VDW?
Can't recall where I said Var was a VDW selection, nor to ignore consistency, though Var is still improving, and more consistent than reading the base figure allows.

IMO, Var should just about win the sprint, while Dubawi has the look of an authentic 'good thing'.

I will just add..ANYONE THAT THINKS THERE ARE SUCH THINGS AS RACING CERTANTIES knows very little about this game. It's betting shop bollox spoken by people with quite low IQ's.

If you can explain your definition of a racing CERTAINTY then do so. I'll look forward to reading it..if you don't supply a definition then I'll assume you are just wanting there to be such a thing ....coz uncle VDW said so. Even if there was such a thing the last person I would expect to ever call one BEFORE a race would be a VDWER

I cannot see that you ever mentioned the term RACING CERTAINTY about any horse pre race JohnD.

I would like you to give a definition of how a horse can have a 100% chance of winning... absolutely no chance of losing whatsoever.

I'm sure everyone here would be very interested..seeing as there NEVER will be such a thing..just my opinion..which you might change..if you can give a definition and then post 20 winning selections pre race that have NO chance of losing whatsover.
