I do indeed EC!

I once called them the 'squirrels' (vdw pt1), chittering and chattering from one branch to another pretending to have a fanastically vauable hoard of nuts.

At that time the thread was full of quotes like: "Well done old chap! I can see you have gone a long way down the path" etc etc. The idea being that we all had to search for the 'golden secret' that was known only to those who patronized the rest.

Thankfully these worst excesses have died a death on here, though eternal vigilance is the price of freedom.

the guru's will be debating whether to let it run first I reckon, if it wins it will be confimed as a selection, if it loses then it won't have been one.

I'm enjoying this VDW stuff now I know the rules Drunk

Hi ectoo et al
not being a vdw devotee but this is a big jump in class so although the horse is consistent it isnt consistent in this class or with this weight
now watch it sluice home i'm on APPALACHIAN TRAIL but not a vdw selection
all the best

Presumptive wins

previous record 1 win from 10 runs on turf
last 3 runs 027

Polar magic was always going struggle from the draw and did so..it makes no difference what £'s he has previously earned when he is set a physically difficult problem in todays race.

when this game is easy enough to crack just by following a horse that has won most £ and has nice little 1's to it's name everyone will be millionaires

at least we got a selection John..even though it had to be gleaned from people who actually have the balls to post a view.

well done to those chaps, I respect people who actually have a backbone and that don't have verbal diahorrea.

I'd rather read their board, the " I am successful but never prove it" brigade don't seem to have joined yet..bar a a couple of course.

JIB/Ectoo

Just got back in and seen the results, etc.

I see that the kangeroo court's back in session Smile. I do agree re. the whole "I've got a secret", aftertiming issue and the squirrel analogy is an amusing one.

It may be just me but I don't see what you're "proving" re VDW. The practise of picking your own horses when you've closed your minds on the subject still strikes me as unfair at least.

Regards

Carlos

Ectoo,

I do post on the forum, I know that AlanB won't comment on any horse he backs. Don't think many VDWers would go for PM due to weight/class rise combined. Found todays racing pretty uninspiring also lacked the time to look and had (still have) a terrible hangover so I can't really comment.

Regards

Carlos

hang on Carlos

Are we talking about the same forum?..ALAN B AGREED IT WAS A SELECTION...its in black and white

even when a selection is agreed on it looks like afterwards it isn't..it's f ing pathetic matey coming on here afterwards and saying something hasn't been said elsewhere

it was a CLEAR selection on the other board..no matter how you dress it up..which name have you posted under before by the way?..let me guess..it's the first time you have ever posted on a board Fish

I agree,
If we`re not comfortable with (the guru`s) posting then some others will have to step up to the plate with pre-race race selections.

I think Carlos and Piston Broke should be likely canditates for posting selections and showing us mere mortals how it's done Walter, what do you reckon?

Ectoo,

Calm down. Posted on here as carlos briefly in 2002, post on the "other" site as CarlWilson. I'm not dressing owt up, the horses chosen by others don't concern me. My comments about AlanB were made simply because he's made his race comment policy clear.

If you look back over my other posts on here I think it's clear that:

1) I'm happy to post pre race selections.

2) I'm not claiming "guru" status, but I am confident that I could demonstrate a clear profit with VDW selections.

I couldn't have been any clearer regarding Enforcer last Saturday. On this thread I intend to be unambiguous abot MY selections and will say when they're been backed.

Don't think that VDW is the only answer, just know it works for me and think that any newcomers will find this thread over negative of late.

Cheers

Carlos

Likes of Fulham (AlanB) have demonstrated terminal thickness, clearly they are not the gurus if such gurus should happen to exist.

Carlos: when the initial VDW thread was started by Swish, Gummy's had a very small membership. A lot of people (Fulham, et al) presumably discovered Gummy by Googling "VDW" after that. The nature of the entire forum was corrupted by the consequences, for those of we members who pre-dated Swish's thread the VDW fora were places to discuss ideas which may or may not have touched on the contents of the original VDW literature. We still haven't adequately reclaimed the forum from those invaders drawn by the prospect of carrion. For me, and I think for most Gummy members, VDW is not that well respected. I've undertaken a shit pile of experiments on the subject and I dont think it has much to offer, this is more the general form theory interchange thread than any great belief in VDW. Perhaps if there were pre-off VDW selections (in the literature) to consider things would be different.

I reckon Carlos/carl is one of those good guy`s who posts from the heart & mind.
Surely we need to get his type & the likes on board on the gummy vdw forum.
