Investor,

Bandari's run lto was obviously a pipeopener. If you cant see that you shouldnt waste your time with horses.

I lost my bet because Alkaseed improved beyond all previous registered form, which is a normal enough occurance as form is dynamic, a state you have obviously yet to experience.

I have learned 4 things from this race:
1st) Alkaseeds true mark is now probably 123/4
2nd) Gamut is just as good this season as last, though I'll need to watch the ground.
3rd) Bandari trained by who he does will probably be placed to win nto.
And finally) That you have little understanding of racing, only be able to splutter clichés after you've seen the result, their inappropriateness even with the knowlege of the result in your hands only demonstrates the vastness of your vacant ignorance.

Jeepers, Ectoo! Well done AGAIN! Nice price too.

I must say that you and that Prufrock with his sectional times are shithot mustard!

Well, my attempt at a VDW-type shortlist did have the winner and second in the top four - but that's not very clever at all.

Stoute's were silly bets of mine. He's obviously waiting for something, but I haven't seen any decent prospects from him yet.

However, if I feel up to it, I may go to Chester, where he often unveils something tasty.
Btw, that Rob Roy will piss in soon, but I think my Derby bet on him has gone west.

Ectoo,

[Sire stats? when did VDW use those?]

Think you will find on reading the quote below VDW was well aware of the power of the sire. Of course as it is now much easier and the stats are readily available he may have used them more, but to think he wasn't aware of them is just another misplaced fallacy. Not sure when this was written but it was back in the 80's

[You would perhaps expect Ahonoora. who was best at five furlongs, to produce brilliant sprinters, but if you look at his offspring's records for last year you will see
the two-year-olds scored at six and seven furlongs while the three-year-olds and upwards went in at all distances from six to 12 furlongs.]

Have to admit it is something I have never studied or used. Even the top breeders can't be sure what any mating will produce, and there can be just as much disagreement about pedigrees as any other aspect of racing.

I always read TRF, and agree there are often many thought provoking threads. I had read the thread on the Craven and was happy to find other folk (who's brains are not addled with VDW) had come to the same conclusion as me, the Craven form wasn't up to much. I hadn't looked at the sectional times, but looking at the basic s/f I use I couldn't see how it could.

Again well done with the winner, I wouldn't have found it. I couldn't find a bet in the race. I won't point out the obvious but having 4 legs is a big help. Although that doesn't do much to narrow the field.

Be Lucky

Investor,

My 7K is like the rest of racing to you; beyond comprehension but excellent material for wierd fantasies.

Could you plese tell me why for the last 4 years you have been using an email whose address starts with the name karen sparkes? That is a another v wierd thing, which added to your repeated requests to be punnished posted on this thread leave the mind boggling. Scared

Yes, I wish I could find that bookie too.

I was told, in no uncertain terms - with no room for doubt - that slips with " shortlist for consideration" and "no bet" written on them would not be accepted.

When I protested about all the hard work I'd done, I just got told to fk off.
I even mentioned the cost of the pamphlets, but to no avail.

Seems I'm missing more than the link, but as Investor said, arseholes like me will never know.

Btw, Virginia Waters last 3 form figs

3, 2, 1.

That's pretty damn convincing! Don't suppose that Ted Rogers or Ted Bowen were anything to do with the 2nd numerical pattern, were they?

My progress as a student of VDW is almost non-existent. For instance, I couldn't even see why distance winner, SATIN KISS, 128 on the prize money with consistency 6, was going to finish so many lengths behind the winner, which was 63, consistency 6.

In fact, I'm so bad, it's enough to make both Karen Sparkes and poor old Investor weep!

And 3rd letter "R", Boozer!

The old systems are the best.

I particularly like the idea that horses must have four legs too.

Boozer,

I fear that cross dressing would be to simplistic a solution for investors labyrinthicly tortuous behaviour.

The fear of choosing a selection before the off allied to his/her/its attacking anyones error after the event, both done from the anonymous safety of his/her/its pc suggest a soul drowning in the depths of perpetual failure.

The symtoms investor demonstrates of complete lack of self confidence, the inability to socialize, the eager disposition to debase his/her/itself to ingratiate with those deemed 'important' and the cruel treatment handed out of those around him/her/itself that slip up besides being common to certain lower species of rodent are not those of someone who had found relief in simple cross dressing.
