Investor

I thought you would have been pleased with the figures.Surely it shows that consistent horses
win twice as often as inconsistent ones.

Nat

Will break the figures down into class later today.

Just as a matter of interest,How have you gone about excusing the p's F's and U's in a horses form over the sticks.

I appreciate you putting your figures up.But with all due respect i am well aware of how consistent horses perform,Especially in the higher class races. This is seen week in and week out.I wasn't having a pop at you,And thanks for your efforts. But like i have said on countless occasions if these "consistent rated" horses don't possess the class and form relative to the rest of te field they won't win even if they have figs of 111.

Roughyed,

Interesting figures, thanks. I don't know how RSB works but is it possible to publish the figures I asked Ectoo for?

As VDW didn't ever play favourites, or as far as I can see placed any restraint on price. Would it be possible for your little machine to spit out the figures for the better races(after all those where the races he looked at) showing the facts for consistent horse V inconsistent? I don't know how it works but if it can be done consistent = 12 or under, Inconsistent = 13 plus. It would be helpful if it was presented in the same format as you used today, winners - Runners - profit or loss.

Thanks

Be lucky

A LOT OF HOT AIR WITH NO DEFINATE SELECTIONS

WHAT ARE THE VDW SELECTIONS FOR TODAY??????????????????????????????

i'll have a wager that not ONE person will dare post one up..prove me wrong..if they do and it loses Investor will say it wasn't a selection. Gun

NO CLEAR SELECTIONS AGAIN?????

no wonder people have no respect for an approach that is unable to give selections..not much use to anyone Sick1

what is the point of a method that gives NO selections before a race.????????????

I'll ask again

ARE THERE ANY VDW SELECTIONS TODAY???????????????????????????????????..just so you don't forget

coz if they ain't and you come on aftertiming later you just leave the method open to ridicule..there will be plenty of that if any more aftertiming LOSER shite happens

Wink

Mtoto

what is the point of comparing 100/1 shots with 1/1 shots??? stats with no market odds stated are WORTHLESS

do you understand how to query stats?

you MUST have a level playing field..horses with the same market chance

thats why I posted those up..I thought you VDW lads were smart..obviously not

anyone that uses racing stats without recourse to the actual chance the horse had hasn't got the first clue..you may as well ignore the stats if used in that naive way.

It's like saying Jockey A is poor because he only has 8% strike rate..the fact every horse he rides is 250/1 actually makes him champion jockey material. Without the prices he just looks ordinary.

no prices quoted..no point.

Investor,

At least Ectoo has got the thread moving again, who knows what it could lead to?

Ectoo has jumped on one small aspect of the VDW puzzle, and is trying to disprove it using stats. Ok, why don't we use stats to prove the overall thinking is correct? I agree they aren't that important in the whole method. But VDW did use them to show why he was looking at consistent horses. Ectoo says he has proved it wrong, all he's done is prove in one small band the stats don't work out. When you stop and think about it logically there is a good reason for that.

What he didn't say yesterday was in 2 out the 3 winning races for him there were no consistent horses. Wonder how many of the other stats he showed that was the case? He is quick to point out in some races there are more consistent horses than inconsistent ones. What he doesn't worry about is the overall strike rate for consistent horses is still good even if they are running against other consistent horses.

Be Lucky

thats very true Mtoto

here's a question?

two sets of horses

111 last 3 runs..av sp 7/4

111 last 3 runs av sp 12/1

which ones win most?

you know the first group answer

The point you make is valid Mtoto..but..what makes a horse win more often is reflected strongly in it's market price not it's last 3 form figures.

What VDW ers need to do is only support horses that show a profit over a period of time..they can't do that..hence no pre race selections here again.

Thats why the methology is no better than simply backing every 3yo maiden fav..40% strike rate with those..but worthless.

1121 The Violin Player 3.05 epsom

clearly the best form figures in the race

Investor put it up as VDW selection

get ready for why it WASN'T a "true" selection

if it had won.."what a winner" we would have been told

so predictable

these new Jester are great

VDWer avoiding any PRE race selections or opinions

what an advert for the methodology

IT DOESN'T WORK..investor proves it each time he refuses to give a selection

so predictable..it's just an after race hobby..if one of these bad value consistent horses wins the discussion will start..no use to man nor beast is VDW..if it was people like Investor would be proud to post selections..NOT ASHAMED Moon2
