There are two class horses who are going to collect in accordance with their ability today:

Hi John

Thanks for posting these. Smile

May I ask you a couple of questions: What makes them the class horses? And what tells you they are running to collect today?

Cheers,

I'm obviously not so good at reading the form book PD, otherwise I wouldn't ask. Big Grin

Perhaps I should give it up.

Anyway, for a bit of fun I've had a £2.50 EW trixie on Ravens Pass, Northern Dare and Camps Bay.

Camps Bay was very unlucky not to be awarded the race. I watched the replay twice. Ajaan should have been disqualified for first bumping Silver Suitor out of the race and then bumping Camps Bay, who definitely lost momentum as a result. The stewards must've had a bet on Ajaan - to let the race stand is a disgusting decision.

Put it down to experience Pd.
3 bets today; 3 x 2nds. New Approach beaten a nose, another beaten a hd after a protracted battle, and the other beaten a neck after taking a hefty bump when beginning his challenge.

Johnd

A couple of hours after my last post I realised that one of my statements was not as it should have been and I wouldn't want to send anyone down the wrong path. So, the paragraph should read thus;
When you boil it all down there is no real method as such. All he is doing is narrowing his field of vision to areas where he knows he will find the situations in which he liked to bet.
The type of horse is irrelevant.
This ties in nicely with the final paragraph of my last post to Walter.

The horses which beat your selections on Saturday should be noted in the near future, for obvious reasons.

Fulham, Alan B, Hensman are the the same person. It a ruse set up by Fulham to down play VDW methods. Lee and Guest are the true Gentlemen who have given their all to this method.

Trypod,

Could you explain exactly why you think Fulhams findings are a ruse, and where he has tried to play down the methods? I'm not sure about Guest, but Lee has come on here and agreed with Fulham VDW was/isn't all he claimed (or perhaps others claimed for him) to be. While I can see Fulham's findings about VDW can bring him (VDW) into disrepute, I have yet to see anyone who has seen the proof doubt the methods.

This maybe because they have proven for themselves these methods work. Those who don't believe VDW's every word at least follow the logic, and use the basics of class and form. I did notice on another forum someone who has gone out of their way to acquire the form books now understands why folk are not happy to share their work with folk who can't be bothered to take the trouble.

I'm sure JIB will answer you, but what has he to be ashamed of? All he has done is to put into writing the facets of the VDW thinking he doesn't agree with. VDW himself said there are MANY ways to work the thinking, and to find one that was suitable to the individual punter. JIB is using class although not the method suggested, that doesn't make him wrong, as his results are proving.

Be Lucky
