Walter

Thought you might like this link
if it works?.

I also think Contest is a good bet, but doubt that even that short price will last; but double it with Oldjoesaid, 7.45, Leics and it should pay around 11/2 the pair.

Denied Access on that link JD, see your horse is a non-runner at Leceister.
Contest is sitting around 1.62 the place now.

Unlucky with your place bet Walter, though he was never going to win.
The method, as I see it, indicates 2 bets today, Takeover Target in the Kings Stand, and George Washington.
Luck to all.

That's bad News !

I wonder as to the chances of recovering from that ??

Lost my cash, but still think that it was the best bet of the day.

Great Horse.

From another forum
if vdw means anything zaham 4.55 at ascot tomorrow must be a great bet 1, its the class horse by some way 2,its the horse in form 3,dropping in class money wise 46k to 31k 4, only two distance winners in the race which its one, showed battling qualities lto,won 19 days ago against it was beaten by desert dew at a mile previous what do vdw buffs think

did this one get missed

The coronation looks a good race the Aga Khan's filly Darjina is a place bet for me,as I am not sure how to interpret the form of Mi Emma, and I also see Rahiya as a potential improver,I can't therefore back her to win.

Finsceal Beo seems to be on a downturn,If Finsceal had not run in the French Guineas I would still have her form as a downturn last time.I am reminded of Attraction who seemed to put up a better performance in the Irish classic than the English one, whereas the opposite is the case with Finsceal Beo.

Only my thoughts though, good luck if you play.

The rain spoiled the Coronation Stakes, and Darjina was placed, fortunately perhaps, but with the torrential rain,I left the race alone in the end.

Scorpion looks a good thing for me tomorrow, and hopefully Ascot can finish on an up,I will post my actual bets tomorrow evening or Sunday, but I'm afraid to say VDW wouldn't be too impressed.

If vdw was watching some of the shite weve been putting up here lately PD he`d be tearing his hair out (if he had hair Big Grin).
Michael you have made out a great case for the Johnston horse but ive lost all confidence at the moment.
I could`nt tell you if he was a good bet or not even after he`d won.
Does that make any sense? Confused.
Seanrua put up a good stat a wee while back in that 80% of all winners are mentioned in the Racing Post Selection Box.
I dont know how this stat would stand with the races that vdw indicated but you`d have to be careful if your following tipsters especially if the ground conditions change during racing.

I'd be wary of any horse that won a gp1, then ran in a gp2 next time out?
Maybe they're trying Scorpion out to see if he has the speed to win a King George, but he still has staying entries, and lacks the pacemaker he had for his last run.
Should still win on the rain softened ground, but unlikely to be given a hard race if they can avoid it.
I'll take my old friend Amadeus Wolf to win the Golden Jubilee.

Im not sure about Scorpion today Pipedreamer it was a muddling sort of race he won lto having said that he did it well enough in the end.
Horses carrying G1 penalties have`nt won either in 10 yrs according to the Racing Post Trends section.
I`ll have a better look at the race later see if there`s an alternative.

Although there are negatives about the G1 penalty Scorpion has to carry A P O`brien could have put Septimus in this race (holds an Irish St Leger entry) who also finished in front of Marahel lto & is without a G1 win.
Scorpion needs to be at the top of his game Pipdreamer but im hoping the course will bring further improvement i cant find one to beat him pre-race that`s for sure.
