Well done John - The Gentleman's Deal and Cusoon form is what we are looking for. Nayyir, a class horse, but questionable form when analysing this race.

If my understanding of VDW is anywhere near the mark, then Punjabi looks a winner today at Punchestown.

Nice winner pd, thought the price was pretty generous, too.
Hard work today, unusual for a Saturday.
Only one horse stands out at a decent price, Dusky Lord, 2.10 Sandown

Think I've done my share of "Pre Race" posting.
And stated on 20/7/06 that I would not be putting any more up.

Well if that continues to be your normal sr TC then one can understand why you would`nt want to be posting selections.
Ive gone a stage further here on Gummy in the past & put up the rules of systems/methods which point the way to profit.

Walter - I rely heavily on ratings and other services, most of which cost money - If I'm honest, they probably cost me more than I get back from the bets, as I bet only in small amounts and use my bank simply as an indication of my overall sucess.

I think, if you were to look back through that thread that you would find that I gave a general indication of the sources that I was using at the time.

Since then I have also embraced the "swish" approach, and "speed figures" lto are used to re-enforce what my other sources tell me.

be lucky

tc

Using one method /system later on today there are two races that show for further investigation.
The 2.45 at Newmarket & the 3.40 at Goodwood.
I need confirmation from the Daily Mail in the morning but if i dont get back to say otherwise then Echelon & Abhisheka are to be dutched at the best odds in the 2.45 at Newmarket.
It would also be prudent to consider Expensive & Harvest Queen in the 3.40 at Goodwood.
All the best.

Firenze (4.00 Newm.)might not run as the trainer states he will take her out if it's too firm, but should win otherwise>

walter,well done on your winners.

I had a nagging doubt about Echelon, over todays distance, just couldn't be sure, and in the end I didn't wager. Her class of course got her home.

In fact I had no bet today,as I couldn't find anything strong enough, the 2000 Guineas result was no surprise, in that an outsider won it.

Roll on tomorrow, the 1000 Guineas looks easier to solve maybe.

Johnd,
did you notice Tabadul who was 4th behind Blue Bajan at Epsom, trotted up at Lingfield 4.00 yesterday.

I saw Tabadul had won; didn't bet it, though I thought it likely to win.

Pinpoint looks a good bet in the first at Newmarket today; can't see the 9/2 lasting.
Papal Bull almost was in the 2nd, but with the favorite likely to be withdrawn, and the threat of a farcical pace, will probably be just watched.

Tricky again today the nearest I come to a bet is Solent at Salisbury, but I will let it run, even though I think it will win.

No probs Pipedreamer just one of the system/methods i like to play away with.
I let Echelons race pass by as a minimum of evs for the shorter priced runners works best.
Cesare & Road To Love qualified at Ascot the other day with this one.

If I was a wise man I wouldn't look at todays cards, yesterdays demise of Solent (last and tailed off),shows how little I know.

A brief glimpse today,Mark of Love the penalty carrier at Newcastle 4.35 must go close and Warwick 4.10 would Graduation be one VDW would look at,didn't run as a 2 yr old but put up a nice performance at Newbury dropped to a lower grade track today, where opposition doesn't look up to much.

Unlucky with Pinpoint, had he not hung in the final furlong he would surely have prevailed.
From the same stable, Stotsfold, 3.20 Chester, should compensate.

Difficult to say how the straight course at Ascot will ride just yet, but at the moment Dabbers Ridge, 2.20 looks a decent bet @ 12/1.
