Hi NFP

No panic. Take your coat off and have a cup of tea!

Interesting thread there. What sort of criteria do your lays have? Poor speed figs perhaps? BTW - I backed Royal Hector on Wednesday! Smile

Hi BlackCat,

Nothing to do with Speed figs (maybe I should look into that though).

Basically they are all top rated horses by various ratings (Fineform, Formcast, UKHR and AM). When all things line up it is a back bet, when they don't it is a lay bet provided value can be achieved. Should the lay clash with other systems then it simply becomes no bet - as per the 2 the other day, that was just plain sloppy of me.

Current System Summary
Bank: £1,044.88
SR Summary: Bets 23, Wins 12, SR 52%, Longest losing run 3

If I stick to the 10/11+ odds rule (Flat and Hurdle) and put in a 6/4+ odds rule for Chases.
And I don’t look at All Weather.

Then the summary would have been as follows:

Revised System Summary
Bank: £1,077.42
SR Summary: Bets 12, Wins 8, SR 66%, Longest losing run 1

This ties in with my previous experience of 65% and not many bets!

I'll keep going as it is, as the money on this thread isn't real. But will see if the next review has similar traits.

It is interesting that the bets have dried up since Christmas. This is exactly what happened before. Last time (from memory) it was 13 in Nov, 8 in Dec; and 1 in Jan!

Confused

A few results (4 I think) went astray from the V-Bulletin site. These two below were pre-race posted on RSUK whilst this site was down. Updated here for info only...

2.40 Haydock - Trabolgan - 2nd Frown
1.45 Ling - Cheese & Biscuits - 1st 2/1 Smile

Missed one today. It should have had money on it too. Bugger. I could really use a winner too at the moment! (Cheese & Biscuits above won, but I am not betting AW so happy to let that pass)

2.55 Hunt - Almaydan - 1st 5/6 Smile

Good for the figures, but not for my pocket.Frown Frown Frown

Prices may be too short to log, but just in case they drift:

2.50 Southwell - Hows That
3.10 Hunt - La Lambertine

Hows That - 5/4 2nd Frown

La Lambertine - 8/13 and so won't be logged anyway, but on re-checking, it was not a system bet (failed on 3 things). Don't know what I was thinking of. Confused

3.10 Ayr - Supreme Developer
1.35 Ling - Ticero

(In the 1.35, will have to wait until the live market to confirm that it is a system bet i.e. it must be favourite).

Ayr is 'off Ayr'
Ticero was not favourite and was unpl.
